Gzowo Glass

Gzowo Glass is a pair of home-built smart glasses with a see-through heads-up display in front of the right eye and a voice assistant called G.L.A.S.S. — Gzowo Like A Smart Sass. You press a button on the temple, ask something in Polish, and the answer comes back both as speech in a tiny speaker by your ear and as a few lines of text floating over the world.

The optics are the Google Glass trick, not a Hollywood waveguide: a small OLED screen, a lens that lets your eye focus on something two centimetres away, and a half-silvered mirror at 45 degrees. Because an OLED's black is truly black, whatever is black on the screen is simply transparent in front of your eye.

The whole thing runs on a coin-sized ESP32-S3 board with a camera and a microphone. The glasses draw their own little operating system — boot screen, clock, menus, timers — and stream your voice and camera frames to a server at home that talks to a realtime AI model. The frame is 3D-printed to fit one specific face.
