One to three players, each of them a queen bee, sharing one hive inside a hollow tree.

You fly as a queen over a meadow, gather pollen, and return to a hive that everyone shares. Workers follow you in a swarm rather than being assigned to flowers, so a bigger swarm simply covers more blossoms at once, and the comb you build is a hex grid of cells with different jobs that reward good neighbours.
The strategy lives in the calendar. Ten-plus plant species open and close on their own schedules, a season lasts two real days and a year lasts eight, so the map you learned last week is not the map you are flying now.
There is no combat. Hornets are a real threat, but the answer is structural — narrow the entrance, set traps, post guards. A queen runs; she does not fight.
