Wordshader

Wordshader is a toy for making short video loops out of words. You type a line — `yellow spinny torus`, `blobby shiny metallic`, `loop(3) … loopend` — and a glowing three-dimensional shape rebuilds itself with every keystroke, on a gradient background, with a soundtrack written the same way. When you like what you see, you export the loop as a video.

Nothing in it is a model file. The shape is a distance field: a short piece of maths that, for any point in space, answers how far that point is from the surface. Every word you type edits that equation, and the picture is drawn by shooting a ray from each pixel and stepping along it until it hits the surface. That is why the shape can change on the fly with no loading, no meshes and no waiting — there is nothing to rebuild, only an equation to re-solve, sixty times a second.

The soundtrack shares the shape's clock. A pulse in the geometry and a beat in the music are the same number, so the animation lands exactly where the loop restarts and the exported clip repeats seamlessly instead of stuttering back to the start.
